Capital Improvement Plan

Capital Projects Fund Schedule

The Capital Projects Fund is used to account for financial resources dedicated to the acquisition, construction, and improvement of major capital facilities and infrastructure projects in Walton County. This fund supports a wide range of projects, including roads, bridges, public buildings, and recreational facilities that are not financed through other funds such as the Transportation Fund, Fine & Forfeiture Fund, or state and federal grants.

All budgeted revenues for the Capital Projects Fund come from interfund transfers from the General Fund.

Grant Funded Schedule

The Grant Funded Capital Projects portion of Walton County’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) consists of projects that receive financial support from various federal and state grant programs. These grants provide essential funding for road construction, drainage improvements, transportation enhancements, and other critical infrastructure needs without relying solely on local tax revenues.

Grant funds come from multiple sources, including state transportation programs, federal initiatives, and specialized grant opportunities designated for specific project types. These funds help Walton County leverage outside resources to maximize improvements while minimizing the financial impact on local budgets. Grant-funded Sheriff's Office projects are shown on the Sheriff Projects schedule instead of here.
